Backroad Carnival

Somewhere between musical wanderer and uncertified ethnomusicologist dwells Cory Seznec and his unique world. I met the French-American musician who is now based in Paris when he lived in Addis Ababa back in 2016. Cory commissioned me to create the artwork for his second album Backroad Carnival (June 2017). I made the cover image outside Addis Ababa’s iconic Wafa Cinema at Piazza and designed the vinyl sleeve cover. Cory was mesmerised by the cinema door we used as the backdrop and this inspired the album title Backroad Carnival.
